How Echobotics uses cookies.

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your preferences, maintain your session, and understand how you use the service.

Echobotics uses cookies that are needed to run the platform, a few that remember your choices, and analytics cookies only if you agree to them. We do not use advertising cookies or sell cookie data.

We use the following categories of cookies on Echobotics:

These cookies are essential for the platform to function and cannot be switched off. They include:

Session cookies. Temporary cookies that keep you logged in while you navigate the workspace. These expire when you close your browser.

Authentication cookies. Secure, HTTP-only cookies that maintain your authenticated session across page loads. These are set by Better Auth, our authentication system, and are prefixed with __Secure- in production to prevent interception.

CSRF protection tokens. Short-lived tokens that protect form submissions from cross-site request forgery attacks.

These cookies do not track you across other websites and contain no advertising-related data.

Theme preference. We store your light/dark mode choice in a cookie so your display preference is remembered between visits. This cookie contains only a single value ("light" or "dark") and persists for 12 months.

Onboarding state. We store a flag in localStorage (not a cookie) to remember whether you have dismissed the chat onboarding guide.

Pricing seen. A cookie (eb_seen_pricing) remembers that you have already looked at our plans, so your dashboard does not show them to you again. It holds only a yes/no value and lasts 12 months.

Chosen plan. A cookie (eb_chosen_plan) remembers the plan you picked on the pricing page while you create your account, so checkout can open with that plan. It holds only the plan name and is cleared once it has been used, or after 1 day.

Cookie choice. We remember whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies, so we do not ask you on every visit.

We use PostHog to understand how people use Echobotics: which pages are visited, where people get stuck, and which features are used. This helps us fix problems and decide what to build next.

Analytics cookies are off until you agree. When you first visit, we ask whether you accept analytics cookies. Until you accept, PostHog keeps nothing on your device and counts your visit without recognising you on a later visit.

If you accept, PostHog sets a cookie (named ph_ followed by a project key) that recognises your browser across visits. It lasts 12 months. It is used only by Echobotics and is not used for advertising.

PostHog may also record how you move through a page (clicks, scrolling and page changes) so we can see where something went wrong. Inside the workspace, all text and everything you type is hidden in these recordings, so resumes, interview answers and contact details are never captured.

You can change your choice at any time from the cookie settings link in the website footer.

Razorpay. When you initiate a payment, Razorpay's checkout may set cookies on its own domain to process the transaction securely. These are governed by Razorpay's cookie and privacy policies.

Brevo. Our email delivery provider may include tracking pixels in transactional emails (such as email verification). You can disable image loading in your email client to prevent this.

PostHog. Our analytics provider. Its cookie is set on Echobotics only if you accept analytics cookies, as described above.

We do not permit any third-party advertising networks to place cookies through Echobotics.

Session cookies. Deleted when you close your browser.

Authentication cookies. Expire after your session timeout period (typically 7 days of inactivity).

Theme preference cookie. Persists for 12 months and is refreshed on each visit.

Pricing seen and cookie choice. 12 months.

Chosen plan. Until it is used, or 1 day.

Analytics cookie (PostHog, only if accepted). 12 months.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block all cookies, accept cookies only from specific sites, or delete cookies when you close your browser.

Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in and using the Echobotics workspace, as authentication depends on session cookies.

To manage cookies in common browsers:

— Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data

— Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data

— Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data

— Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Some browsers send a Do Not Track (DNT) signal to websites. If your browser sends it, we treat it as declining analytics cookies.

We may update this Cookie Policy if we add new features that require additional cookies. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-product notice. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
